We are looking for world-class software engineers to build our modular service-based software architecture.

You will be developing the application of myEko, our innovative connected heater which recycles heat from computers. We need to manage these remote devices, schedule temperature routines, adapt heating to a user’s presence or behaviour, provide a backend for the mobile apps, react to the weather, integrate with smart assistants, detect fraud using mining pool data, pay users the correct amount every month, and much more… Rise up to the challenge and join us!

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the backend and/or frontend of myEko as a suite of modular microservices.
• Participate in the specification, development and maintenance of our IoT cloud platform
• Build robust and scalable microservice APIs to enable new features for myEko and the mobile apps
• Define and document best practices and strategies to build out our cloud infrastructure
• Document software requirements, design, and implementation.

Minimum qualifications

• You write high-quality production-grade code that you’re proud of
• You have built many robust and scalable APIs and services performing a wide variety of tasks
• Experience with microservices and serverless architectures
• Experience designing RESTful and/or graphQL APIs
• Proficient in multiple programming languages, with years of experience with a statically typed language
• Able to discuss pros and cons of any technical approach
• Experience with software verification strategies including unit testing

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in any of these is highly beneficial:
  • Backend of connected products / IoT
  • Backend of a complex mobile app or website
  • Large scale automated payment systems
  • Mining pools and pool proxies
  • Integration with smart home assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple Homekit
  • Knowledge of IoT cloud platforms (esp. AWS)
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and ready to embrace SCRUM

You will be working hand-in-hand with our design, electronics, engineering and manufacturing team to launch an amazing product with an incredible user experience.
